K177 HISTORY
Built at Newport in 1941.
Towed to Ararat for storage in July 1967.
Placed in Langi Morgala Museum at Ararat for preservation in October 1972.
Donated to Mornington Railway Preservation Society by Langi Morgala Museum at Ararat.
The late Alan Batchford, President.
Towed to Crib Point around 1989.
Under restoration at Cerberus and since October 1998, at Moorooduc.
To be named "City of Ararat" after restoration.
