Passenger Car 24AW

Built 5/7/1918 at Newport by Scott & Party as a bogie 1st Class Car. In Feb 1953 was auto coupled both ends. Withdrawn from service and taken off register in 30/8/1982. In Feb 1989 was stored at Brooklyn, Victoria and came to the society about that time. Restored by the society 1999-2000, at Moorooduc. |

Passenger Car 45BE
 
| Built 23/3/1910 at Newport Workshops as 9ESBV a bogie 2nd/van/mail sort car. Soon after number was changed to 9BDSE, but remaining a 2nd class passenger/van/mail-sorting car. On 23/5/1923 changed to 45 BE and became a full 2nd class express passenger car. November 1953 was auto coupled. 14/3/1982 changed to 45BEL remaining a 2nd class car. Withdrawn December 1984 and placed on historical register (plan R). August 1988 preserved & allocated to Mornington Railway Preservation Society.
Was restored with a bi-centennial grant from Hastings Shire in 1988. Restroed in 2012 by Carriage Department - click here for details. |

Passenger Car 57BE

Built 2/9/1909 at Newport Workshops as 10ABVE at bogie 1st & 2nd Class express passenger car renumbered 10ABE remaining a 1st/2nd express passenger car. On 4/6/1951 became 57BE, a full 2nd class express passenger car. About 1982 became 57BES remaining a 2nd class express passenger car. On 9/5/1985 placed on historical register. August 1988 preserved & allocated to Mornington Railway Preservation Society. Was restored with a bi-centennial grant from Frankston City Council 1988.

Passenger Car 27 BU

Built 27/2/1914 at Newport by Fowles & Party as 27 ABW a 1st & 2nd class passenger car. About 1953 was auto-coupled at 2nd class end only. In March 1962 reclassified to 27 ABU and on 10/5/1972 became 27 BU at Ballarat North Workshops full 2nd class car. Car was written off the register on 27/8/1982. Restored by society 1989-1993. {Sold to a private owner and its body was at Bright in August 1985.} |

Passenger Car 65 AW
|
Built 22/10/1926 at Newport by Graulton & Party, a bogie 1st class car. Became a 2nd class car on 22/3/1938 at North Melbourne Workshops classified 76 BW. On 21/7/1955 became a 1st class car reclassified as 65 AW at Ballarat North Workshops. Then on 23/11/1972, at Newport Workshops was re-gauged to a bogie 2nd class standard gauge passenger car numbered 6 VFW. On 16/9/1981 became a broad gauge Motor Trailer as 33MT, painted blue. No further information is provided but was with the society by 1989 painted red. |

Passenger Car 3ABL

Built 12/4/1900 at Newport by Mower & Party, as 3 ABC a bogie 1st & 2nd class passenger car. Became 3 ABL about 1910. On 24/4/1961 became 85 WW a workman's sleeper. No further information is provided but has been partially restored back to its original configuration passenger car. To be fully restored by the society. On "Heritage" Register. |

Passenger Car 98 G

Built about 1943 as a Victorian non-motorised and able to be used on the extended suburban system beyond the electrified section. When steam hauled gas lighting was provided hence the numbering "G". On the electric system they were wired up to the electrical system. Arrival date at the society was unknown but it was used on excursion trains from 1989-1990. Restored by the society 1994 & after arrival at Moorooduc. Used for Birthday Parties since 2002. Both ends auto coupled by the society 1989 & 2002. |

Passenger Car 58 BES |
Built 28/7/1910 at Newport by Bell & Party. A bogie 1st & 2nd class express passenger car, classified as 11 ABE. On 27/7/1981 became 58BE, a bogie 2nd class express car. In 1982 became 58 BES, also a 2nd class car. Withdrawn from service in November 1984 & placed on the historical register in about 1985. In August 1988 was allocated to the society. In storage at Moorooduc pending restoration. |
