Mornington Railway is a heritage broadgauge railway operating in the Mornington Peninsula between Moorooduc and Mornington.

We have both Steam and Diesel heritage broadgauge locomotives and heritage passenger cars.

Running days are normally the first three Sundays of each month.

PLEASE NOTE - Dogs (apart from Seeing Eye Dog, Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs suitably identified) are not permitted on any part of the Mornington Railway - stations, platforms or carriages included. This is for the safety of our patrons, and there are no exceptions.

DIESEL LOCO T334 turns 60
Mornington Railway will celebrate the 60th birthday of our oldest diesel locomotive T334.
Join us for a festive weekend on 20th and 21st August 2016. Details to follow.
Children - bring your Teddy Bear for a day out on Sunday July 10th.
A certificate will be issued to children who bring their Teddy Bear (or favorite toy) and ride the train.
Each child receives a small gift, compliments of Mornington Railway.
Mornington Railway is managed and operated entirely by volunteers.
Interesting activities include Customer Service, Mechanical Engineering , Civil Engineering, Carpentry, Railway Operations, Administration and Management, Carriage Restoration and Maintenance.
Join our active, enthusiastic and friendly group of volunteers. No previous experience is required as on the job training is provided. Trade and professional skills will be useful.
Activities are conducted mid-week and at weekends. More Details...
