The Mornington Railway continues to expand its operations.
There are now many exciting opportunities for volunteers. More than 70 volunteers already work on the railway.
Railway operations include:
Steam and heritage diesel locomotives hauling lovingly restored vintage passenger carriages
Passenger services on the first 3 Sundays of every month - 4 return services each day (see timetable for details)
Children's Birthday Parties
Charters
Railway museum
A wide range of unskilled and skilled positions are available both mid week and at weekends.
On the job training is provided. Activities include:
Mechanical engineering
Carpentry
Civil engineering
Customer service
Marketing
Management & supervision
In addition, opportunities exist for extra training and participation. These activities should be considered as long term goals with serveral steps and "apprenticeships" involved.

Shunting and Track Patrol
Diesel Driving
Steam Train Driving
